Knowledge Base

Quick answers to the most common questions about MixBus Platinum. If you don't find what you're looking for here, reach out to our support team.

  • Installation — MixBus Platinum ships as a universal installer for macOS (10.15+) and Windows (10/11). The installer includes Standalone, AU, and VST3 formats. Run the installer, select your preferred formats, and launch. No additional frameworks or runtimes required.
  • License Activation — After purchase, you'll receive a license key via email. Enter it in the activation dialog on first launch, or sign in with your MixBus account. Each license supports two simultaneous activations — for example, a studio machine and a laptop. You can deactivate a seat at any time from your account dashboard.
  • DAW Compatibility — MixBus Platinum is compatible with any DAW that supports AU or VST3 plugins, including Pro Tools (via VST3 wrapper), Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper, Studio One, Cubase, and FL Studio. The standalone version works independently of any DAW for broadcast and streaming applications.
  • CPU Optimization — MixBus Platinum is optimized for both Intel and Apple Silicon processors with native ARM support on macOS. For best performance, we recommend a buffer size of 256 samples or higher. The ProcIQ system can be set to "Eco" mode to reduce CPU usage by approximately 15% with minimal impact on processing quality. If CPU usage is high, try disabling the real-time spectrum analyzer in the metering panel.
