MixBus Audio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MixBus Platinum software and the mixbusaudio.com website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We are committed to minimal data collection. We only collect information that is necessary to provide, maintain, and improve our Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we never will.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you purchase MixBus Platinum or create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Billing information (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full credit card numbers)

When you activate MixBus Platinum, our activation server receives:

  • Your license key
  • A hardware identifier (a hashed, non-reversible fingerprint of your machine)
  • Operating system type and version
  • MixBus Platinum version number

This information is used solely to validate your license and enforce seat limits. We do not collect or transmit any audio data, project files, preset content, or processing settings.

  • Stack trace and error information
  • Operating system and hardware details
  • MixBus Platinum version and active processing configuration (module names and enabled/disabled states only — no parameter values or audio data)

Crash reports are sent only with your explicit consent. You can always choose not to send them.

1.4 Optional Analytics

With your opt-in consent, MixBus Platinum may collect anonymous usage analytics including:

  • Feature usage frequency (which modules are used most often)
  • Session duration

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving the Service.

3. Data Sharing
